Reflections

I delivered Noah June 20, 2008 at 9:55 pm at 38 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Today, Noah is 38 weeks and 2 days old! He has officially been outside of my belly as long as he was inside it! It is a fun thought and took me on a nice trip through my memories.
There are many things that I do not miss about being pregnant, but I really do miss being pregnant. It is such an amazing process, such an amazing feeling to be growing a baby, and I am grateful that I was able to do so. Though not in the immediate future, but somewhere in the
near future, I hope to take another journey
through pregnancy and birth.

There are no words to describe in full what it means to become a Mother (or a Father, I suppose) For those of you who are Moms, you know what I'm talking about. For those of you who have yet to take the magical journey, no matter what your particular journey looks like (adoption, step-kids, foster kids, all kinds of kids) I hope that you, one day, get the
chance to experience it.

Being a Mom, a parent, has got to be one of the most difficult and challenging jobs there is in the entire universe. But, honestly, there are no better rewards than the ones that come from Parenting...none! A smile, a hug, the feeling of their breath against your skin when they fall asleep in your arms. The giggle they let out when you kiss their nose, or the way their little fingers wrap around yours. Watching them learn and grow. The look in their eye when you walk in a room...there are no better rewards then the ones that are given to a Parent from a Child!Thank You Noah. Thank you.
